Hey, I am still alive!

I don't know where the time go, I have been busy here and there. So, news, I got a new job! Yay! I will start tomorrow. Hopefully I will do well. Thanks to everyone, my family, co-workers, and knitting buddies who have 110% supported me and helped me making the decisions. I feel I am very lucky to have nice family and friends who love me so very much! They are always there to for me when I need them!!!

This summer, I have done couple of my "first thing". I went to my first Greek Festival and ate lots of greek food. I went to my first fair in Orange, had my first fried dough and funnel cake there, and saw a pig race (Of course I bought some yarn there too, hehe). And I went to my very first football game at Yale. They were fun! I really had a great time in this summer. Oh, Andrew went to Boundary Water to hike for a week, and that was the longest time I haven't talked to him ever since we met. So, beside that, it was great!

I also had lots of awesome food this summer. Lots of bake goodies, sushi, greek food, fair food, and seafood. As you all know, food has been a big part of my life ;)

As far as knitting, I have done some, but not as much as I love to. I made couple baby items for one of my friends. I am still working on a summer top(I know, maybe I can wear it next summer lol), and the pullover for the Sweater KAL. I will keep up with it!

Sweater KAL started!!! (sort of)

After I came home from SnB (had a blast with the girls, btw), I got a package from Knitpicks. I got the size 13 needles for my Sweater KAL, yay!!! I am knitting the Lace Leaf Pullover from Loop-d-Loop with GREEN yarn! yup, Phoebe is using green yarn! So stay tune to see the progress and the FO.

While I was "looking" for the needles that I needed, I accidentally found something interesting... Not sure if you have the same problem that I have. I always have problem knowing the sizes of the knitpicks needles. So, this Options needle tip stand is just a perfect solution to my problem! And I am loving it!!!

I have been very frustrated lately. It's just because of the job hunting process is not going well. All the companies out there, they don't want to spend money to train newbies, so they are all looking for the 5yr+ experience workers. I often ask myself. If no one ever hired newbies anymore, then newbie would never get the 5 years experience, which means they would never get a job... It's frustrating, but nothing else I can do except keep sending out resume... :(

Family Visiting

During the July 4th weekend, DH and I went to visit his parents. My SIL and her family has came back to visit from Texas. We had a great time, especially "hanging out" with my niece and nephew. They were soooo cute! I couldn't believe how fast they have grown.

After that my family has decided to come visit us in CT while on the way back from DC. They drove all the way down to DC to change my dad's Hong Kong passboard. They arrived on Wednesday night and left on Sunday morning. We went to have Taiwanese food, sushi, Rich's Farm ice cream, bbq at home, and go karting. It was such a short visit, but I was just glad to see my family.

As far as knitting, I have been doing it still... LOL.
I have finished a baby dress, and a baby blanket for Renee, and a pair of Blackrose socks for myself.

Now I am onto a top called Josephine.

I also has joined a sweater KAL from our SnB group. It starts on Aug 1st, and ends at Oct 31st. You can knit any sweater you want, and I think I am going to make Lace Leaf Pullover from Loop-d-Loop.

BLAH

I feel really blah lately. No class, no home work... thought I would have more time to do stuff, more knitting or cooking. Well, it goes the other way, I have been very slacking... Who knows why? I don't.

Andrew took me to a drive in movie theater in Mansfield CT. It was my first time going to a drive in, very interesting experience. $9/person for 2 movies, not bad at all.

At work, DH and someone else has started "Orange Shirt Friday". Since there are some new co-0ps and interns, I told them about it, and they joined us! How cool is that?

Last week, DH bought me some covers for the Wiimote. Cute!!!

I got tiffanied!

I finally have time to write a new post.

I graduated!!! I have not been very excited for some reason. I guess it's because I haven't found a job yet, still working at the same place, so it seems like I am still in school minus the homework and study.

I was not planning to go to the graduation commencement. Then my parents thought they were going to come over for it, so they convinced me to go. But, because my dad's health, they couldn't make it. Although it was disappointing, his health was more important. Once he gets better, they will come visit us again. Even my family didn't come, I still had a great time because my inlaws and 2 of my best SnBers were there to support me!!! (of course my DH also) Really appreciated they attending. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

I got some gifts from them too. My "bitches" gave me yarn! (They know me well!!!) And my DH tiffianied me for the very first time. When we were having lunch at StoneBridge in Milford. DH surprised me with a little blue box. He put the box next to me while I was having soup. But I didn't realize the box was there until I finished the soup. Duh... I love it. Thanks Honey!!!

I did finish the Garden Party Shawl on time for my graduation. I did make one mistake somewhere, but I am not going to tell you where it is because you won't notice. Well the truth is, I don't even know where it was because when I was picking up stitches to do the short row for the border, I was one stitch short somewhere somehow... I was trying to fix it, but when I found that out, I was already half way through the border. Since I didn't want to rip the border, I just ignored it. lol

The day after commencement, we went to visit my inlaws. They had a picnic for Memorial Day and my graduation. They were so sweet to do that for me. Grammy got me a cake too! I was surprised!!! :D

I had my school buddies came over for a BBQ/Rock Band party. We had a blast.

Nothing exciting is happening in my life right now, except I am back to SnB. Woohooo!!!
