Snowing in March

Yup! Heavy snow on Saturday. Picture to prove:

I haven't updated my blog for looong time. Well, school has been busy, work has been fine. Andrew has sprang his angle on Monday night while playing basketball. He is the person that refuse to go to see a doctor or go to the hospital unless he thinks something really bad is happening to him. When I asked him if he wanted to go to the ER that night, because I could tell he was in lots of pain and his foot was swollen so bad, he said yes, which meant he also thought he has broken his angle. We left the house around 11pm, to yale, came home around 4:00. What a long night. Then I had a test on Tuesday morning, of course I did horrible, the worst test that I have ever done in the US. Want to blame Andrew... LOL Besides that, school has been crazy, lots of homework and lab reports!!!

As for knitting, I have finished a couple of projects. First, the Minimalist Cardigan:

I actually has finished it more than a weeks ago, but because I can't wear red for a while, I didn't want to waste time on weaving in all the ends. Why can't I wear red? Oh, I forgot to mention. My Grandmother (Dad's mom) has passed away last Thursday (a week ago). And for Chinese tradition, my family are not supposed to wear red(or any bright color), which is a lucky or happy color, for a while, at least couple weeks to a month. If you know me well, you know it's very difficult for me to not wear any red, since that is actually the main color of my wardrobe.

After that I have casted on a lace scarf which it is the second time I have knitted that pattern. I gave the first one to my friend's wife. Since I like the pattern so much, I want to knit one for myself. Here it is:

Ok, item I want to frog....

Please don't ask me why I want to frog it, I don't even know, I haven't frogged it, I just really really want to.

And after the lace scarf, I have casted on the Sunshine Top. I am doing the finger weight version of it. OMG, it's taking forever! So far, I have been liking the yarn. It's Buckingham by Bristol Yarn Gallery which I bought it in Yarn Garden Superbowl sale.

After 24, another TV series that I am addicted to is The Office. We are at the end of Season 3... just can't stop watching it...

Another thing is, my desktop is dead! It can't be turned on! Man, this is like my third computer that happens like this... Weird!

Alright, it's time to get back to the lab report.

Hmm...we have the same tradition about wearing bright colors after someone dies....actually most people just wear black for a while.
Oh by the way I bought the Cat Genie and LOOOOOVE it!!! It's awesome! Thanks for recommending it. :)

You've been a busy girl. I love the cardigan. So sorry about your grandmother.

Your lace scarf is beautiful.

Now go take care of your husband!

What's the pattern for the scarf? I don't think I've ever seen it before. Pretty.

Your minimalist cardi is beautiful!! I can't find the right thing to wear underneath mine.

Sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing. Take care.

I finally realized what I liked more about your cardigan and funny enough, it has nothing to do with the sweater itself.

I was wearing a longer shirt underneath it and it looked odd. All better with a shorter shirt.
