First Day of School
I have one class with Carolina this morning. It should be fun taking class with her. So glad that there is another girl in the engineering class. Then I had a math class, Complex Variables, sounds like fun huh? There were 6 of us in the class, and 4 of us are in ME which is quite surprising, I thought only Math major or some one like me need to take a advance math class to be math elective need to take that class. And at night, I had a lab class, which is a "lot of work to do" class, plus, there are lots of curve-killers in my class, means, less chance getting As in that class. :( So I had a long break between 2 classes, so I casted on the Monkey Socks with the Cherry Tree Hill yarn and size 1 knitpicks needles in school. Of course I am using my favorite magic loop method.

Finally I finished the microwave cover last night.

Winding...
I got my yarn for my MS3 yesterday. I ordered it from Knitpicks. It's Alpaca Cloud in Smoke Heather color. I am actually surprised or should I say a bit disappointed when I first saw the yarn. I expected the color would be lighter. Oh well, I can't change anything now, except... ordering another yarn... But then what am I going to do with these yarn if I ordered another kind?

In order to do my swatch, I need to wind the yarn. So I had the swift and the winder set up, sat down, and started winding. Oh my gosh, it took forever, it seems like more than 10 mins to wind a ball of Alpaca Cloud. My arm was a bit sore after 440 yarns of yarn winding. However, while everything was set up, I might wind another ball of yarn as well hehe... So, here is it, a ball of Cherry Tree Hill, Supersock in Sugar Maple. Why did I wind sock yarn? Becuase of the Monkey. I know I know, I should start another project, I just winded the yarn, I may not have to cast it on, right? *evil smile...

By the way, I saw Val and her hubby at Texas Roadhouse last night. Andrew and I went there with Carolina, Ken and their one year old son Kevin. I love that place, we always go there, that is why we are broke. Anyway, we all had fun, since we are all dorky people, all in ME, we get along well. Looking forward to the next time.

Relaxing weekend
Monday, I got back a test result from the thermal class. I failed... my first failed test in my U.S. life. Of course I was very upset. I studied, but I didn't get a good grade, very disappointing. However, I did have a very relaxing weekend to make myself feel better. I spent lots of time in knitting, yay!!
First of all, I have finished the Feather and Fan socks.
Secondly, a project that I have been working on. It's almost finished, do you know what that is? I am sure you have seen this pattern before. ;)
Lastly, I have started 2 new projects. One is Lacy Waves Top from the book Lace Style. I have 3/4 of the back piece done, will shape the armholes next. And the second one is another kitchen hand towel.

It's time for signing up class for the fall semester. *sigh. I will have all night classes again. I really don't like it. I remember last couple semesters ago, I also had all night classes, and my living schedule was so messed up. I would get home from school around 10pm, had dinner and went to bed at 4am. And then got up around noon or 2pm and went to school at 5pm. I didn't even spend much time with Andrew. It was so tough. And now that I know it's going to happen again, I feel so down. I am not liking it already. Plus all night classes means that I can't attend Wednesday and Thurday night SnB meeting. *crying.

Spring break
This week is spring break. I hanged out with An on Monday. We first went to Thai House for lunch, then we went shopping clothes for work, I was planning to work 2 days at Schick started on Wednesday. Then, we came to my house and baked a chocolate cake with coffee icing. It was the first time An bake a cake. We were both very excited.

So, I went to work on Wednesday and Thursday(at Schick). I worked in the physics lab, I were doing some testing, can't tell what that was, top secret :) I had fun. Since I worked in different department than before, I got to see and learn different things.
Andrew was sick since Thursday, so I didn't go to SnB. I missed it!! But, guess what, I have casted on another pair of socks... yes, another pair. It's called Feather and Fan from Socks Socks Socks. I am using Bernat baby fingering weight in soft lilac, because it's for my mom, the socks need to be machine washable and dryable. I got them in A.C. Moore when the yarn was on sale for $2 each, $4 for a pair of socks, great deal!!

I can't believe it snowed again in mid-March. When everyone is blaming global warming, it snows. I am not anti-saving-enviornment-or-energy, but it seems when people couldn't find a reason why it didn't snow during Christmas or Janurary, they blamed global warming. Wait, people blame globla warming for everything... ok, I am calming down... Anyway, it snowed very hard on Friday, we got at least 5 inches snow. We didn't measure exactly how deep the snow was, but it's quite a lot. We drove out last night, and saw couple cars sliding or got stuck, couldn't move, saw a taxi couldn't make it up because it slow down too much on the bottom of the hill.
I put another movie in my favorite movies list last night. Andrew and I was going to rent Borat last night, but of course on friday night, we didn't have luck, and they were all rented out of course. So, I picked this movie called Stranger than Fiction. I never heard of that movie before. When I saw it, (Andrew was outside cleaning the snow on the car), I thought it could be funny since it has Will Ferrell, and Andrew like him a lot, so I rented it home. After watching it 15 mins, I found out that it's not quite funny. After watching about 30mins, it's quite interesting and creepy. After finished watching it, I felt in love with this movie. It's a very simple but not possible story, but it's very meaningful and touching and crazy. Totally recommand this movie to everyone.
Lastly, my spring break is pretty much over, and I don't want to go back to school!! I am having 3 mid-tern exams next week. Wish me luck!!

Wii party
Several of my friends from school came over to my house on Friday and we had a Wii party. I was the oldest in the party, but when playing wii, we all forgot how old we were, well, at least I did. I make fun of myself all the time that I always play with kids since my friends from school are way younger than me... yes Bijal, I know what you are going to say, but really, I am older than you, all of you, and yet, I feel younger when I am around you guys, thanks. After the Wii party, Andrew had his friends came over to have another party. I felt bad that I kind of ended my Wii party rushly and my Wii party messed up his UFC party, sorry Sean and Ken...
I finsihed the Jaywalker tonight. Yay!! They look real big, because I have big feet. The yarn I used is called "scheepjes" which I got it from Yarn Garden during superbowl sale, and I used knitpicks circular needles #1 for magic loops method. I made a mistake on the side of the sock. when I noticed, it was already too late to fix it. oh well. I don't think people can see it unless I told them...

Help Needed
Tonight, I went back to Gateway to visit my Physics professor. I sent an email to him and asked for help on some Statics problems a week ago. He is a awesome teacher who made me understood lots of basic physic concept which has been very useful in my classes now. Now I am having physics problems, of course I go back to him :D He gave me some help on Statics and some solutions of my book. I am so glad and thankful for what he did to me. Since I am not a Gateway student any more, he didn't have to do more work for me. So it was very very generous of him.
I chatted with Becky couple days ago. she said she was going to cast on a pair of socks, and that made me want to knit a pair also. So, After I said goodbye to her, I casted on the Jaywalker Socks right away.
I have finished my Liesel Scarf. I have used 5 balls of Debbie Bliss Baby AIpaca Silk in Lavender and it's very very long :D I have blocked it and it looks much better now. I love it.

Finally, I have made some progress on crocheting the rice cooker cover. It's only made by single crochet, very simple, but hey, I am a beginner, and that is very difficult for me. (In the picture, there is my new Hello Kitty measuring tape)

Mission accomplished!!
My mission was to attend all four SnB meetings in a week. I have been all Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, and Monday(yesterday) meetings. I have one more day to knit... Tomorrow will be my last fun day before school starts :(
I have finished a couple of projects lately. First, my first pair of socks. Althought they are simple, but hey, since it's my first pair, I wanted it to be easy to be knitted. And both Choppy and Sticky like the socks very much. Sticky would not stop licking them. Weirdo...

I have also finished the Valentine's hand towel tonight. I want to say that I don't like the cotton yarn, it's very rough, but the product is practical. I have used a heart shape button for the towel, however the picture really doesn't show it. And the heart shape pattern doesn't look so good?! oh well, it's done.

I spent lots of time this afternoon to sew up the shoulders and sleeves of the Kyoto sweater. Man, I am not liking it. I like the sweater, I just don't like sewing. Apparently, I suck. Look at my first seam...

Magics....
I have been doing some magic things lately. For my Fit, it has famous magic seats which the back seats could be folded up and down. Here are some pictures of the seats folding up:

As knitting, I am using "Magic Loop" method for my socks. I love the magic loop, it's so easy to use and let me avoid fighting with those double point needles... the socks are almost done(will be done today). I can't wait to wear them on Thursday and show them off to my knitting buddies.

I am so sleepy!
My sleeping hours are kind of crazy lately. I go to bed like at 4 am and get up around 11am. Not that I don't want to go to bed earlier, it's just that I can't. I have tried, but I just won't fall asleep when I was lying on bed at 12am. I feel very tired everyday. Also, School will start next week, that means my vacation is going to be over, so depressing.
I have received a lovely painting from my niece Lindy last week. And I forgot to post a picture of it. Now here it is...
I didn't do much knitting this weekend. I am now working on the collar of the Kyoto sweater STILL and my first sock. I guess the sock is not as hard as I imagined. And actually, it is quite fun to knit. I only hope they will fit me, I am crossing my fingers. I have finished the halfed-fingers Fetching, "finally". It took me forever for some reason. Lastly, I have started my first knitted hand towel.
