Bake Sale 2
The bake sale was a big success today! My cheesecake and pumpkin pie were all sold out today(fast too)! I am so so so happy that people like them a lot. Especially the cheesecake, I just couldn't help to smile from my the bottom of my heart when I saw people had that "yummmmm" look on their faces. Someone even asked me to marry him because of the cheesecake (of course I said "sorry, I am taken") and keep using the f-word to express how good the cake was( you know how the college kids speak in these days). I love that feeling when someone loves your food. It's a big big paid off. If you like to cook, you would know what I mean. Even though I took off half day from work to sit at the table and I didn't get paid at all, it's totally worth it. I had lots of fun today! Of course, during the down time, I was knitting, what is new?

Bake Sale
Mechanical Engineering Honor Society in UNH is having a bake sale tomorrow. As a honor member, I, of course, helped to bake. I started making my signature Oreo Cheesecake, it does take 2 days to make it, bake, add more stuff, bake, chill and then add more stuff, 2 days process. It's so good, it's totally worth it, but I don't eat cheesecake. Today, I baked 2 pumpkin pies, and my another signature item, Chocolate and Walnut Snack Bars. It took me 3 hours to prepare and bake, and another couple hours to chill and pack. So, I have been busy baking this weekend. Hopefully people will buy them tomorrow.
Last Thursday, since my professor wanted a day off, I didn't have class that night. After work, I went to school to do some homework. Then I ran into my friends Dave and Miguel, both from Columbia. They were so evil that they took me to a great Columbian restaurant which serve awesome Columbian food. I have tried something new, and I like it a lot. I said they were evil because they made me going to SnB late. It was almost 8pm when I got there. But I still had a good time chatting and knitting with my friends as always. And I am going again next week, since I have a take home exam next Thursday, so NO CLASS again. Lucky me... Sometimes, it also makes me mad because I did pay for the expensive tuition, but I am not learn anything from that class...
Oh, during baking, I did have time to knit a little bit. At the trip to buy plastic bags for packaging the snack bars, I went to A. C. Moore, and guess what, I bought a ball of yarn. It's Bernat Organic Cotton. Then, while cheesecake was being baked, I casted on a pair of baby booties. I have never made baby booties before, I had no idea how they are easy and fast to knit. I finished it this morning. There was some sewing, not much, but I still hate it. They are gifts for one of my co-worker's new born son.

Also, I accidentally washed the swatch of the MWS which is the Zephyr lace yarn...

I got it!!
My Ravelry shirt of course! I am so excited. Although it's getting cold here now, I may wear it tomorrow! Wait, I can't, because I have to work tomorrow! OK, then I will wear it on Friday!

I have made a mistake on the Mystic Waters Shawl. After the long process of MS3, I am very used to reading chart now, I think. So, after I printed out the chart of MWS, I did a swatch right a way, and it looked pretty. So I casted on the shawl, didn't bother to read the finished clue#1. This Monday, my friend from work wanted to know how to do "ssk" before she cast on her MWS. I was like, why do you need to know, there is no "ssk" in the pattern... or is there? OH THERE IS. Apparently, I am so used to knitting MS3. It's pattern, "/" means "sk1p", and that's what I have been doing in MWS. Big mistake, but I have asked Costumechick who is an a knitting expert, she said I don't need to frog it, I just have to to keep doing the wrong stitch. Well, problem solved. I was so afraid that I would have wasted lots of time if I need to rip it...
People who know me well would know that I have a thing for Wedding Dress. And I am so glad that TLC has a show called Say Yes to the Dress and I love it!!! Thanks to Mom H for letting me know about it.
No knitting pictures today, or for while, because all I have been knitting are gifts...

Mystic Waters
It has been a while since my last post. I still have been busy with moving and school. Oh actually, I have been knitting too. I am trying to finish couple Christmas projects. However, after I saw Costumechick's Mystic Waters Shawl, I couldn't help but casted one on myself.
I finished clue one in one week... I am using Zephyr 2/18 in Agean Blue and Knitpicks Options size 4 circular. I am usually not a fan of blue, but I like this color a lot. Now I am trying very very hard not to start clue 2 and try to keep knitting the Christmas gifts. Good luck to me.
Last weekend, my PIL came to help us install a garage door opener. I am very thankful that they always come to help us do this and that, otherwise, as both DH and I are lazy people, we would never get stuff done so fast.
Last Friday, DH and I went out with one of my friends from work and my classmate and his girlfriend to a Chinese restaurant, Iron Chef, in West Haven. They all speak Mandarin, except DH and I. It's a REAL Chinese restaurant. Well, I should say authentic Chinese restaurant. How do you know if the Chinese restaurant is "real" or not? Ans: It is "real" if you can order this there...
Guess what, my dear SnBers, I will have another Thursday night class next semester... Its time may be changed later, or I may not take it next semester, but it looks like I need to. Booooo! I am so depressed! Or anyone wants to join me at Sunday's meeting? Anyone?
Lastly, I got these last week...
